We work with emerging and contemporary artists to increase their visibility, promote their work, connect them with potential buyers and industry professionals, and create opportunities for exhibitions and sales.

We promote our artists to a growing international network of collectors, art buyers, interior designers, businesses, galleries, curators, and members of the general public.There isn’t one specific type of buyer we work with. Our goal is to get each artist’s work in front of the people and opportunities that make the most sense for their practice.

How does The Almanac help artists connect with buyers and make sales?

Accepted Answer

We promote artists through our online gallery, social media, annual artist catalog, exhibitions, direct outreach, and professional network.We actively work to create visibility and sales opportunities, but we cannot guarantee sales, commissions, exhibitions, or any specific result. Ultimately, those decisions depend on buyers, curators, venues, timing, and other factors outside of our control.

How much does membership cost?

Accepted Answer

The Online Gallery Membership is $42 for 12 months.This is an annual membership fee, not an application fee. It includes your online artist profile and gallery presence, ongoing promotional consideration, and inclusion in The Almanac’s annual artist catalog.There are no additional required membership fees during those 12 months.

Does The Almanac take a commission when artwork sells?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When a sale results from The Almanac’s promotional or sales efforts, the artist receives 75% of the final sale price and The Almanac receives a 25% commission.

How many exhibitions are included with membership?

Accepted Answer

There is no guaranteed number of exhibitions included with membership.We actively organize and pursue exhibition opportunities locally and internationally, and members may be invited when their work is a good fit. Each exhibition is a separate opportunity, and artists can decide whether or not they would like to participate.

It depends entirely on the exhibition.Some opportunities may have little or no additional cost, while others may involve venue, production, transportation, shipping, travel, or other expenses.Artists are always given the relevant information beforehand so they can decide whether participating makes sense for them. Exhibition participation is never mandatory.

How does shipping work for exhibitions abroad?

We understand the emerging artist struggle, therefore, we always try to find the most affordable and practical way to transport artwork safely.For our exhibition in Rome, for example, we selected works that could travel easily. Canvases were safely rolled into tubes, stretcher bars were disassembled, and works were transported as checked luggage. Sculptors also carefully packed works into luggage. Once in Rome, everyone helped each other prepare and reinstall the work.We have experience finding practical solutions like these and help artists figure out what makes the most sense for their specific artwork.Artists are responsible for their own shipping/transportation, travel, and accommodation expenses.

Do I have to participate in international exhibitions?

No. Exhibition opportunities are completely optional. Although highly encouraged.Before committing, you’ll receive the relevant information about the exhibition and expected expenses so you can decide whether the opportunity works for you.

Do artists have to pay expensive professional art shipping companies?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily.International art shipping can be extremely expensive, particularly for emerging artists, so whenever possible we look for safer and more affordable alternatives based on the artwork’s size, medium, and destination.What works for a small sculpture may be completely different from what works for a large canvas, so transportation is considered individually for each exhibition and artist.

Can The Almanac help artists secure commissions or corporate projects?

Accepted Answer

We actively pursue commissions, collaborations, corporate projects, and other opportunities through direct outreach and our professional network when there is a suitable match.However, these opportunities cannot be guaranteed as part of membership.

Will you visit my studio before we work together?

Accepted Answer

We genuinely want to get to know the artists we work with and understand their practice.Because we work with artists throughout Israel and internationally, in-person studio visits cannot be guaranteed as part of membership. When an in-person visit isn’t practical, we can meet through a video call, go through your work together, and get to know each other and your practice.

No. Our artist relationships are non-exclusive.Artists remain independent and are encouraged to continue building relationships with other galleries, curators, collectors, and art professionals alongside their work with The Almanac.

Accepted Answer

No, and we believe it’s important to be transparent about this.Membership does not guarantee sales, exhibitions, commissions, representation by another gallery, or any other specific result. Especially since we work non-exclusively. Our role is to actively promote our artists, create visibility, build connections, pursue appropriate opportunities, and help get their work in front of new audiences. We would rather be clear about what we can realistically provide than promise an outcome we cannot yet control.
